Sunni Muslim Association South London

About Us

Sunni Muslim Association, London is an established Islamic centre serving the Muslim community, particularly followers of the Sunni faith. Located in South London, the association provides a welcoming and peaceful environment where Muslims gather for daily prayers, Friday congregations, and special religious events. Although it mainly serves the Sunni community, people from other Islamic backgrounds also visit the mosque, reflecting unity and brotherhood within the wider Muslim community. The Sunni Muslim Association is more than just a place of worship. It actively supports Islamic education and community development through Quran classes, religious lectures, youth programs, and guidance sessions for families. Both lifelong Muslims and new converts can benefit from the supportive atmosphere and structured learning opportunities offered at the centre. The mosque aims to strengthen faith, promote good character, and encourage positive community values. All five daily prayers — Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha — are performed in congregation. Fajr prayer helps worshippers begin their day with discipline and remembrance of Allah. Zuhr and Asr provide moments to pause from daily work and refocus on spiritual responsibilities. Maghrib marks the transition from day to night, offering a chance to give thanks, while Isha concludes the day with reflection and supplication. During Ramadan, the mosque becomes especially active with Taraweeh prayers, Iftar gatherings, and community programs, as well as arrangements for Eid prayers.
